Every weekend across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai, thousands of amateur football turf games, badminton club nights, box cricket matches, and running groups are organised the exact same way: someone pastes a numbered list into a WhatsApp group, ten people copy-paste the wrong version of the list, three people drop out an hour before kickoff, and the organiser is left chasing turf fees and last-minute replacements.
Why don't these groups move to a dedicated team-management app? Because getting 40 casual weekend players to download, sign up for, and check a separate app every Thursday night never works. The conversation is already on WhatsApp.
Keeping the players in WhatsApp while automating the organiser's work
KIBI Matchday (play.kibisports.com) solves this by keeping the player experience 100% inside WhatsApp while giving the organiser a structured control panel:
- Automated Game Broadcasts: Set up a recurring Thursday 8 PM football game or Sunday 7 AM badminton session once. KIBI Matchday posts the fixture details, venue map link, and spot count directly to your group.
- Zero-Copy-Paste RSVPs & Waitlists: Players confirm or decline in one tap. When a 14-player turf game fills up, player #15 automatically goes onto the waitlist and is promoted the moment someone drops out.
- Attendance & Reliability Tracking: Track who actually shows up versus who drops out late, keeping community games fair and punctual.
Connecting community sports groups to the wider KIBI ecosystem
Because KIBI Matchday is part of the KIBI Sports operating system — alongside 90,000+ athletes verified through sports organisations, 100+ institutions, and 257+ brand partners — community groups gain access to two upgrades that standalone chat bots cannot offer:
- Local Brand Sponsorships: Hydration, nutrition, sportswear, and recovery brands use KIBI Sponsorships to sample products and sponsor recurring community matchdays with verified player attendance.
- Seamless Graduation to Tournaments: When your weekend group is ready to host a 16-team tournament with brackets, live scoring, and digital certificates, your roster is already structured for KIBI Events.
