Alanganallur Jallikattu 2027

Alanganallur hosts the best known of the Pongal jallikattu events, held under the Madurai district administration with heavy security, medical screening of bulls and tamers, and prizes that have included cars for the top tamer. Bulls are released one by one through the vaadivasal and tamers attempt to hold the hump across the marked distance.
